Child and Family Program
The Child and Family Program ran by Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services, serves children and families who are facing a crisis such as death, divorce, illness, violence, homelessness, alcohol/drug abuse and other situations of family stress.
Child and Family specialists address these issues while working to keep families together and strengthening the familial bond.
They serve:
- Families in need of emotional support
- Single parents feeling overwhelmed
- Grandparents raising grandchildren
- Families struggling with a child’s difficult behavior
- Parents who are at the end of their rope

Services
Provided at no cost:
*Visit families in their homes to assess needs
*Identify strengths and determine areas of growth
*Develop goals with the family to promote stability
*Help families locate and access community services
*Teach parenting and life skills
*Offer family and individual counseling when available
*Teach families the importance of daily routines, managing behaviors and healthy relationships
*Assist with out-of-home placement if needed
