Early Head Start
Early Head start is a fee, comprehensive program offering information and support to families with pregnant women, infants and toddlers. The program also serves infants and toddlers with special needs both at center-based and home-based levels.
Eligible Families should, at the time of application
- Be expecting a baby or have a child less than three years of age
- Meet federal low-income guidelines
- Be willing to participate in Early Head Start Activities
Application Requirements:
- Income Tax Return from the previous year
- Child’s Birth Certificate
- Copy of legal placement (if guardian is someone other than the birth parent(s))
- Child’s Medicaid or Private Insurance Information
- Child’s Shot Record
- Copy of TANF and SSI (if you receive)
- Copy of Admission to School (if parent(s) attend school
- Copy of Grant awarded if parent(s) received to attend school
- Copy of any other income (unemployment, VA benefits, child support, etc.)
- Copy of disability diagnosis from medical facility if child has disability
