Minor/Emergency Repair Program
The City administers a Minor/Emergency Repair Program that performs certain limited repairs of approximately $5,000 – $7,000 on single family, owner-occupied homes of qualified low-moderate income applicants. Typical issues addressed include repairs to gas and water lines, water heaters, roofs, electrical systems, heating/cooling units, and limited accessibility improvements. Applicants must meet household income guidelines (see INCOME LIMITS link below), possess valid title to the property, be a legal resident, and not owe any debts to the City of Wichita Falls. The house must not be located in the 100-year flood plain, and cannot be considered in substandard condition. Repairs made are in the form of a grant to the homeowner.
