Prepared Childbirth at United Regional
This condensed course is designed for expectant parents who desire a one day course rather than a 5 week course. The course offers instruction on the anatomy and physiology of pregnancy and preparing for labor and delivery through modified breathing exercises, stages of labor, pain management, birth and recovery, newborn care as well as baby check-ups. Expectant parents will view birthing films, receive take home literature and tour the hospital. Participants will need to bring two pillows to the class and dress comfortably.
Recommended dates to attend: Between 32-38 weeks or approximately 2 weeks before delivery date.
