Hours of Operation
Mon-Fri: 11:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Sat: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
After 5:00pm, Monday thru Friday and on weekends and holidays, Animal Control Officers respond to emergency calls only. To reach the on-call ACO after hours, follow instructions provided through the Animal Control Hotline: 940-761-7824
After hours emergencies consist of the following:
- Dog or cat bites consisting of broken skin on humans
- Stray Animals with life threatening injuries
- Loose livestock
- Dead animals that are a traffic hazard
- Wild animals in homes
- Venomous snakes in homes
- Dogs attacking other animals
- Owner arrested with an animal in the vehicle
- Skunks out in daylight hours only.
Lost Pets & Adoptions: All animals brought into the Animal Services Center are photographed and listed here as they are brought in. If you've lost a dog or cat, please scroll thru the photos on Petango (under "Register Here" button) or come in person to the Animal Services Center.
The date listed above each photo is the date the animal can be placed into an adoption program, transferred out or euthanized. Animals being held for our adoption program are designated with "Adoptable!"- Name We Give Them.
